While we may cringe at the thought of self-driving cars, the reality of robots is upon us. From applications in agriculture and manufacturing to healthcare, military and public safety, robots are used in many industries and the applications aren’t slowing down. Ready Set Robot! is an enrichment experience for youth age 9 and above to learn the basics of robotics. In this fun, hands-on workshop, students receive a brief overview of robotics and then spend time programming a robot in a safe and supportive environment.

This workshop is made possible through a 2022-2023 STEM Scale-Up Program award from the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council. Computational Thinking in Action with micro:bit helps students understand the power of computer science and how things work by seeing their projects come to life using a micro:bit controller.
